August 2023 FAQ: Laser Marking

Integra Technologies recently acquired a CSM2000 Wafer Level CSP Marker to expand our WLCSP offering. The CSM2000 is the fully automated wafer-level laser marking system for the backside of a wafer.

Take a look at some of our most frequently asked questions:

csm2000Q: Does Integra have an automated systems for wafer-level laser marking?

A: Yes, the CSM2000 which has automation for 150mm and 200mm wafers

Q: Does the CSM2000 have automated wafer alignment?

A: Yes, the system has a high accuracy twin arm robot for increasing the system WPH (wafer per hour). Also, it minimizes the wafer alignment time by optimizing the wafer pre-alignment system.

Q: How does the CSM2000 maintain position accuracy?

A: CSM2000 has a very high marking position accuracy by using AGC (Automation Grid Calibration) which compensates the marking position distortion. The CSM2000 uses the latest galvanometer and guarantees the marking position repeatability. Built-in galvanometer checking system detects thermal drift of scanner and prevents the many laser problems may cause by it.

Q: Is the CSM2000 system accurate even after long use?

A: Yes, the CSM2000 has the APC (automatic power compensator). Using this function can be maintained until the end of the diode's lifetime.

Q: Can the SST 5100 be used at different temperatures?

A: Yes, the system allows for heating up to 500°C and cooling in an inert gas environment from vacuum levels below 50 millitorrs to pressures up to 40 psig
