Counterfeit Detection Key Points

Complete (100%) component assurance can only be achieved through 100%, extended-temp, full functional electrical testing to the OEM data sheet. Lead time and NRE + testing costs may be considerable for 100% electrical testing and/or qualification testing of components. The typical CDPD flow provides good “suspect counterfeit" detection results at a reasonable cost and lead time via external visual, physical dimensions, resistance to solvents and dc curve trace.
